A Beautiful First edition copy of the third instalment of Milne’s classic winnie the pooh series and a rare find in this condition.
Published by Methuen, London; 1927. This lovely book is in Near Fine condition. It is tightly bound in original red boards, with gold gilt detailing to the front and lettering to the spine. There is some bumping to the corners and spine ends, with some minor loss to the base of the spine, but apart from this and a slight darkening to the spine, the boards are in very nice condition. Internally, the pages are clean and bright and free from blemishes or damage. There is only the slightest hint of toning or age spottingto the page edges and the book is in very smart condition. Provenance: There is a neat gift inscription to the top right corner of the title page dated 1927. The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition, with just some minor chipping to the edges and corners, particularly the spine ends. There are just a couple of slight marks, and a darkening to the spine from sitting on a bookshelf, but the panels retain some of their lovely original colour and the jacket is bright and smart.
A lovely copy of this first edition and an ideal book to invest in!
